Close-up magic is magic that can be performed close up to your audience.

This usually involves the magician seated (or standing) at a table and performing to an audience in front and to the side of himself/ herself.

This type of magic usually involves small items like cards and coins.

Although the term close up is more in reference to distance from audience than specific tricks. You can find some creative close up magicians using bigger items to suprise the crowd.
